Special Dietary Options
We work
around many food restrictions and can make recommendations for alternatives. Because
we use very few prepared items (Raviolis, Tortellinis, Meatballs, Sausage and sandwich breads), we know what is in most foods.
However, we do change things and we might add a new spice or something, so let us know your needs so that we
can make sure that you have totally accurate, up to date information.

Vegetarian
Our menu
has many vegetarian choices.
The only
appetizer with meat is the Chicken Ravioli that also comes on the Poo Poo Platter. Obviously,
the Calimari has seafood in it.
Our salads
are meat free.
The following pastas are Meat & Seafood free: Linguine, Tortellini Di Noci, Portabella Ravioli, Rollini di Spinaci, Whole Wheat Penne
with Fresh Mozzarella and Fresh Spinach. In cold weather, we also have Butternut Squash Lasagna.
Cajun Pasta and Linguine ai Frutti di Mare can be ordered without meat and
we’ll substitute vegetables, if you wish.
Our Eggplant Lucullan’s is meat free and our Pizzas and Calzones can
be ordered meat free.
Vegan
Favorite
choices are Cheeseless Vegetarian Pizza and Penne with Roasted Vegetables (which needs to be ordered ahead so we can pre-roast
the vegetables). We can also sauté Vegetables in olive oil and toss them with
your choice of Pasta.
Gluten Free/Wheat Allergies
We inventory
Rice Noodles so we are happy to replace regular Linguine, Penne or Fettuccine noodles for any pasta with rice noodles. For severe allergies, please ask for a manager to insure that we cook your pasta stove
top, not with water that has cooked wheat pasta.
Of course,
meats and seafood can be prepared without flour, but on some dishes we dip the chicken or seafood in flour before sautéing,
so you will need to be sure to communicate your dietary needs to a manager to insure that food is properly prepared.
Dairy Allergies
Pizzas
can be made without cheese and pastas can be ordered with tomato sauce or garlic and olive oil. All of our Raviolis and Tortellinis are pre-made with dairy. If
you are terribly allergic, please have Terry or a manager handle your food order.
Garlic
Entrees
without garlic: Our Rollini di Spinaci, Linguine, Fettuccine and Penne all made with Alfredo Sauce, Calimari, Ponga Fish Sandwich
and Pollo Alfredo. The Sirloin Steak
can be ordered with plain salt and pepper and served with Pasta with Alfredo Sauce.
Entrees
that do contain garlic: Marinara (Tomato) sauce, and Pastas made with Marinara
sauce, Pesto, Raviolis, Tortellinis, Cajun Spice (garlic powder), Cajun Pasta, Louisiana Linguine and Paglia e Fieno. So do our mashed potatoes, Lemon Chicken, Shrimp Adriatic, Meatballs and Sausage. If you are terribly allergic, please have Terry or a manager handle your food order.
MSG
Our Ranch
Dressing, most of our soups and Marsala sauce have soup base with MSG in them. If
you are terribly allergic, please have Terry or a manager handle your food order.
Nuts
At Lucullan’s
we have walnuts in our Tortellini di Noci. We have pecans and walnuts in some
of our desserts (not in plain cheesecake or in the Bombe au trois Chocolats). We
also use pinenuts in Whole Wheat Penne with Fresh Mozzarella. We
do not stock peanuts at Lucullans.
Our Whole
Wheat Penne also is made with pinenuts, but they can be omitted by request. If
you are terribly allergic, please have Terry or a manager handle your food order.
Onions
Options
that do contain onions: our Marinara (Tomato) sauce, vegetable medley, Pastas made with Marinara sauce, Raviolis, Tortellinis,
Meatballs, Cajun Pasta (onion powder), Louisiana Linguine and our hot bacon dressing. If you are terribly allergic, please
have Terry or a manager handle your food order.
Peppers
Our vegetable
medley has peppers, but we can omit peppers at your request. Otherwise we only
have peppers as a requested ingredient in our Pizzas or Calzones. If you are
terribly allergic, please have Terry or a manager handle your food order.
Pork
Our Sausage,
Meatballs, Cajun Pasta, Louisiana Linguine, Paglia e Fieno and hot bacon dressing all have pork. If you are terribly
allergic, please have Terry or a manager handle your food order.
Shellfish
We have
shrimp and crab in Cajun Pasta and Linguine ai Frutti di Mare and shrimp in the Adriatic Shrimp. If you are terribly allergic, please have Terry or a manager handle your food order.
Spices
We use
spices and herbs in most of our foods. Alfredo Sauce has a little nutmeg, but
otherwise it is spice free. If you are terribly allergic, please have Terry or
